This book club was established to engage members of the local community in having first hand knowledge of commonly, and historically banned books.
2024-2025 we are focusing on banned books by female authors.
Mission of this book club:
We are all here because we agree,
BOOKS SHOULD NOT BE BANNED.
We are here to stay informed and to protect the power of storytelling, creativity and shared experience of all voices.
We are here to be a supportive community.
This is a safe space for learning that may sometimes feel uncomfortable as we dive into discussions around gender, race and sexuality.
We will always reground ourselves around our common purpose.
